RDT operates heavy-lift aerial platforms capable of carrying cinema-grade camera systems including the Red Epic and Arri Alexa Mini. Our Freefly ALTA X aircraft carries payloads up to 15kg, providing the stability and precision that demanding productions require.
All operations are conducted by RPL-licensed pilots with experience across feature films, commercials, documentaries and investigative journalism. We hold the required special operations approvals from the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) for each type of flight.

Every RDT flight is conducted under the appropriate SACAA authorisation. All pilots hold a Remote Pilot's Licence (RPL) and our aircraft are SACAA-registered. We carry the required insurance for third-party liability on film productions.
